Educational toys & games we love!
Hey friends,
This is your Christmas gift guide to our favourite educational toys!
It has been such a fun addition to our family having these on hand so I had my beautiful son pick his top favourites so that you can enjoy them too.
We would love to know which ones you go for!

♡ PICK A FLOWER memory - Available from The Childrens Book Shop
Learn the language of flowers in this blossoming memory game. Match flowers to their uses and meanings. Beautiful illustrations.
♡ UNO - available from Mighty Ape
Matching colours and numbers, players take turns racing to get rid of all their cards by matching a card in their hand with the current card shown on top of the deck.
A really great game for strengthening number recognition.
♡ RUSH HOUR - available from Mighty Ape
Players set up the game board according to pictures of traffic jams displayed on different challenge cards then slide blocking cars and trucks out of the way to create a path of escape. Great for problem solving, planning, concentration, logic.
♡ CAMELOT JR - Available from The Toy Box
Arrange beautiful hardwood towers and stairs to create the path for a knight and his princess to be reunited! The knight and princess can only walk up stairways or along the top of walls. Another game that is wonderful for problem solving, planning, concentration, logic.
♡ ANIMALS AT HOME - Available from Fish Pond
Match a rabbit to his warren, a fox to her den and a hamster to his hutch in this colourful matching game. Including 27 animals and 27 different homes, your task it to help each animal find its nest, den, shell or burrow as quickly as you can!
♡ BANANAGRAMS - Available at Mighty Ape
Make your own mini-scrabble board. A fast and fun word game that requires no pencil, paper or board. Although my son is only 4, he really enjoys using the letters to create and sound out words.
And last but not least, in fact this is my sons top favourite (he wanted to show you his latest creations below)…
♡ LEGO! Available at all good toy stores and online here
There are a huge range of benefits from building LEGO creations - problem solving, spatial skills and understanding semi complex tasks, reading & following booklet instructions, counting and working with others.
It is also fun for all age ranges - adults included :)
