My must-reads from 2022 ♡

Hey friends,
In my early 20’s I forgot the pure joy and warmth of nestling down to devour a good book. Now, I treat it as part of every day life - which has been amazing for my son’s love of books too.
I read while I am cooking dinner or if we are at the beach for a picnic. I usually keep one in the car in case we are in a waiting situation. It feels SO GOOD.
Below are some of my faves from 2022. If you read any, let me know what you thought. Or, if you have any recommendations, I would love to hear about those too!

♡ Big Little Lies // Lianne Moriarty // Fiction - Available here
A brilliant take on ex-husbands and second wives, mothers and daughters, schoolyard scandal, and the little lies that can turn lethal.
~ Really enjoyed this book. One of those hard-to-put down reads!

♡ The House in the Cerulean Sea // TJ Klune // Fiction - Available here
An enchanting story about the profound experience of discovering an unlikely family in an unexpected place – and realising that family could be yours.
~ SUCH a great book. I loved the quirkiness of it, while getting across some wonderful ideas and views.

♡ A Court of Thorns & Roses (series) // Sarah J Maas // Fantasy - Available here
Feyre is a huntress. And when she sees a deer in the forest being pursued by a wolf, she kills the predator and takes its prey to feed her family. But the wolf was not what it seemed, and Feyre cannot predict the high price she will have to pay for its death...
~ I was absolutely HOOKED on this series and stayed up far too late reading, to finish them!

~ Another hard-to-put-down read. Loved this book!

~ An inspiring read, one that you will ponder for weeks after. Such bravery and strength.

~ Really enjoyed Julie’s thoughts and ideas around schooling/homeschooling. She has helpful tips for all parents.

~ Absolutely full of parenting nuggets. The sort of book I would own and dive in to a couple of times a year.

Heal the soul wounds that block your ability to live your life fully. Feel the sense of the divine spark that is your core essence. Release the imprints of the past that inhibit you. Learn to live in joy and allow yourself to be happy.
~ I really enjoy reading books like this and seeing what pops up for me. Even a few sentences to help me understand myself a little more.

♡ The Introverts Way // Sophia Dembling // Self-help - Available here
This book helps and encourages introverts to embrace their nature, to respect traits they may have been ashamed of and reframe them as assets. You're not shy; rather, you appreciate the joys of quiet. You're not antisocial; instead, you enjoy recharging through time alone.
~ This book was full of ah-ha moments for me! Well worth reading.
