I’ve been working on this piece for the past few weeks. Each night I sit down with a piping hot liquorice flavoured tea (if any of you love black jellybeans then this is a must-try!) & draw. This…has got to be one of my absolute fave pieces! I love the floral pattern, position of the peacock & the negative space. It was inspired – partly – by old tapestries but done in a new graphic style.
Above are a few pics of it before it went off to the framers this week – I can’t wait to see it framed!
Hope you’re all having a lovely week. xobec

  1. What a wonderful comment to read – thank you so much. This is one of my fave artworks so I’m happy you love it too! :)

  2. This is so beautiful! I love the use of a few different colours in his tail – not just the standard blues and greens. I can really tell from looking over some of your posts that you see the world in a beautifully unique way :) MJ x

  3. Tres charmante! (Did I spell that right?) I surfed here from Poppytump. I like the image of licorice tea and these very clear shapes and colors – goes together somehow. Love seeing closeups of the piece, too. THe first photo really captivated me. I can see a white frame…but whatever frame, it’s very pleasing.
