I have been so excited to share my film photos this week. It is one of the most satisfying feelings having a film developed, waiting…waiting to see them and then when they turn out in a way that you could have never imagined, or done on the computer. Ahhh… I just love all of these photos. My favourite would have to be this flower above. The deep vibrant red against a blurred garden background. Which is your fave here?
A few nights ago as Arlo and I drove home from work we noticed these birds on the horizon in Nelson. They were swirling around the trees together at sunset. Their beautiful silhouettes captured us both. So last night we headed down to the beach with the camera, in the hope that they would still be there and they were! Apparently they are starlings and have been here for the past few days. I’m not sure what they are up to but if you’re in Nelson, head down to Rocks Road! It really is breathtaking.
I am not sure what this beautiful little flower is called but I adore the colours in these images and the blur between what is in and out of focus. I hope you all have a super week planned. I’m busy planning for the Nelson Art Expo in July! You can ready more about it in my recent post here.
Hydrangeas have got to be another (!) one of my faves. A huge bouquet of precious little flowers all bursting with different shades of colour.
This week I’m busy with another little project that Alana from The Little Leaf and I will be sharing on our blogs. It is very arty and designed to get our creativity flowing. Keep an eye out on Saturday for the first day of it!
I reeeeally love today’s painting of these pretty cherry blossoms wafting off the page. What do you think? This print is available on the Clouds of Colour Shop!
