I have been so excited to share my film photos this week. It is one of the most satisfying feelings having a film developed, waiting…waiting to see them and then when they turn out in a way that you could have never imagined, or done on the computer. Ahhh… I just love all of these photos. My favourite would have to be this flower above. The deep vibrant red against a blurred garden background. Which is your fave here?

This week my idols over at A Beautiful Mess released a photo editing App. I’ll admit it. I’m addicted. I can assure you, most of my photos will be edited using this from now on! Its so much fun! Full of beautiful borders, doodles and hand written text. Check out their info on the App here. If you’re on Instagram and have this App, I would love to check out your photos! Starlings at Sunset
A few nights ago as Arlo and I drove home from work we noticed these birds on the horizon in Nelson. They were swirling around the trees together at sunset. Their beautiful silhouettes captured us both. So last night we headed down to the beach with the camera, in the hope that they would still be there and they were! Apparently they are starlings and have been here for the past few days. I’m not sure what they are up to but if you’re in Nelson, head down to Rocks Road! It really is breathtaking.
Friday
Another beautiful week of moments captured on my phone. Interesting fact: did you know that once 2 praying mantis have…you know, mated… the female eats the male?! I found this female praying mantis surrounded by the remains of her very late husband and couldnt believe it! Crazy! Anyway, I hope you all have the best weekend planned! Its Mothers Day on Sunday so I am planning a special day for my amazing ma. What do you have planned?

Red & Green
I am not sure what this beautiful little flower is called but I adore the colours in these images and the blur between what is in and out of focus. I hope you all have a super week planned. I’m busy planning for the Nelson Art Expo in July! You can ready more about it in my recent post here.
