Ooooooh I LOVE how today’s art journal turned out! I used a purple ink pen to outline the hand drawn part of the flowers then soon after I applied water colour paint. It blurred it in a way I haven’t experienced before. I need to think of something beautiful to make with all these art journal pages… at the moment they are floating around my desk! Have you got any ideas?xobec

I have had this little monarch butterfly wing sitting on my desk since I found it a few months ago. I couldn’t bare throwing it out so it has been sitting here waiting to be used on something creative. Art journal- you are the perfect way for me to showcase this precious little wing. What do you think?xobec

DIY: Valentines Day Jewellery Box

Jewellery Box DIY 1

Today I’m sharing a simple idea for Valentines Day. If you’re giving someone something small like jewellery this would be perfect! Supplies needed: patterned paper, scissors, a small box and modpodge.

Using some patterned paper I cut out small and large hearts then used modpodge to stick them randomly over the box. Leave to dry before finishing with some pretty bakers twine!

DIY: Vintage paper Christmas wreath

Good morning! Its time for this blog to get into the festive spirit! So today I am sharing a simple wreath idea using vintage wallpaper and book pages. Supplies needed: paper of your choice, a piece of cardboard cut into a ring shape, a stapler and scissors.

First, cut out leaf shapes from your chosen papers. I made mine all the same size. Then using a stapler I layered all of the leaves onto the cardboard and fastened them down. Make sure you hide the staples. Keep moving around the ring until you’re done. You can then use a hole punch to make a hole in the back for hanging. All done!
Have you made any Christmas decorations yet? Leave a link below so I can check them out! xo Bec

Babushka

Gooood morning! I have just added two more prints to the Clouds of Colour Shop! One is a Babushka Doll (see below pic) and the other I did for a bit of fun…a Babushka Bunny! I thought it would be cool to add a few prints that would look cute in a child’s bedroom. Yay for the weekend! xo Bec
