Ooooooh I LOVE how today’s art journal turned out! I used a purple ink pen to outline the hand drawn part of the flowers then soon after I applied water colour paint. It blurred it in a way I haven’t experienced before. I need to think of something beautiful to make with all these art journal pages… at the moment they are floating around my desk! Have you got any ideas?

I have really been enjoying the autumn colours, flavours, flowers and fashion this week. I finally got my dream ghost chair for my studio desk, repainted a set of drawers for our bedroom and found a flower market! So our house is full of beautiful vases and the sweet perfume of flowers. This week I feel extremely thankful for every little bit of my life.
Thank you for being such wonderful readers and inspiring me to live this sort of life!

Art Journal: spread your wings & fly
Alana from The Little Leaf and I have recently been checking out art journal ideas on Pinterest. It is just a really nice way to express some creativity using different mediums, colours, typography and more. I had such fun creating this first page! This will be a continual feature on Clouds of Colour.
If you are into scrapbooking or designing an art journal and have some examples of your work, I’d love to see it! Just leave a link in the comments.
PS: Yes this is little me!

Lavender art print on the Shop!
Hey guys! Do you remember my Shoot it, Sketch it where I did a big bunch of lavender flowers on canvas? Well I have had so many people say they would buy this print that I did another version of it. It is now available on the Clouds of Colour Shop here. I have been so inspired to paint this week so will be adding them to the shop when they are all finished
Have a lovely day! xo Bec

Good morning! This week has been so…pretty! Sunshine, beach, screen printing, painting, Christmas decorating and finding a teeny tiny hedgehog. He’s so cute! I have been screen printing Christmas prezzies and enjoying games of golf and BBQ’s with an old school buddy. Life is gooood! How has your week been? xo Bec
PS: Have you seen this Iris flower before?
Currently: Screen printing course
You know when you meet someone and immediately you are in awe of how creatively awesome they are? Well, that happened to me last week. Through The Great Christmas Market, I met Lisa who tutors screen printing from her home. I got one on one tuition with her learning the different processes and techniques behind the art of screen printing. It was so inspiring not only learning all of this but being around someone who is so in love with what she does. I have come away from my 2 days with her sooooo excited for my next venture! And am now brainstorming so many ideas for my Clouds of Colour Shop! Here are a few pics from my days with Lisa.

Check out Lisa’s facebook page here for more. If you live in the Nelson region, I highly recommend taking one of her courses! She’s amazing. xo Bec
