I have been so excited to share my film photos this week. It is one of the most satisfying feelings having a film developed, waiting…waiting to see them and then when they turn out in a way that you could have never imagined, or done on the computer. Ahhh… I just love all of these photos. My favourite would have to be this flower above. The deep vibrant red against a blurred garden background. Which is your fave here?xobec

Hellloooo! I hope you’ve all had an amazing week. Here is another page from my Art Journal. Do you remember this photo I took of a bumble bee? Its one of my all time favourites. So I mixed it up with some pretty washi tape and water colours. The colours in this page pretty much sum up how I feel about life at the moment, full of colour, happiness, different directions… Have a perfect weekend friends!xobec

Little white flower

I’m not sure what kind of bush this is but it was growing out in the Native New Zealand bush with a tui bird singing his tune nearby.
Today I’m heading to the library to gather new inspiration for a series of art I’d like to try. Sometimes being surrounded by books is just what I need. Have a beaut week friends!xobec

Looking for inspiration in nature. Taking snaps of the forgotten and unnoticed. This is my favourite way to feel refreshed and inspired for more art. Here are few snaps from our Easter weekend in the Marlborough Sounds.
How do you get inspired? Any tips?xobec

I thought it was about time I shared a few photos of my neighbourhood- beautiful Nelson! I love living here. It is absolutely brimming with artists, delicious homemade food, seaside cafes, beaches, nature… the list goes on. Above are a few photos of Arlo and I enjoying Nelson as this summer comes to an end. The mornings and evenings are getting a slight chill in the air so we are savouring every last beam of sunlight. Although a hot cocoa by the fire doesn’t sound so bad either…
Have a fab week friends!xobec

Today I am participating in the WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge. This weeks theme is ‘lost in the details’. This is my favourite way to photograph nature, looking at all the intricate details that would usually be missed. Here are a few photos that I haven’t shared on the blog before and that fit in perfectly with this weeks challenge! Have you ever joined in with this challenge? Leave a link so I can check out your post!xobec

Arlo and I LOVE photography missions together and thought it was time we went old school. So we bought a film for my old Praktika camera and took turn about taking photos around Nelson. It was the perfect way to spend one of the last Sundays of this amazing New Zealand summer.
Im going to share these photos in 2 parts; 5 photos that I took and 5 that Arlo took. We want to make this a regular feature. These photos are ones I snapped! Which one is your favorite? Do you like the pure awesomeness of film?xobec
PS: I love the fact that you can get film photos straight onto disc…what the?! Seriously so cool. Stay tuned for Arlo’s photos next week!
