I discovered this magazine a few weeks ago and am absolutely hooked. Every page is packed with beautiful images and inspiration for your home. They also feature favourite blogs, emerging artists and delicious food ideas. Today marks the day of the one year anniversary of Clouds of Colour! I’m soooo excited! It has flown by so fast and I’m still in shock at how many of you tune in everyday to see what I post. This year I really want to do a 365 project (or at least attempt one!) so have been brainstorming what my theme could be. I came up with the idea ‘our year of engagement’ which would be photos of Arlo and I enjoying this year of being engaged… planning and getting ready for our wedding, maybe even a few bridezilla/groomzilla moments (!!) etc. At the end of it we can make an album which I’m sure we will treasure and love looking back over. Since being in Australia, i’ve found myself painting in very washy tones. One of my favourites that i’ve done so far is of the girl below. I had no plan to draw her and yet it all just came out on the canvas. I’m sooo pleased with the results! Im loving the fact that Valentines Day in on its way. Arlo and I explored the city the other day and it seemed to be bursting with cut-out hearts and bright red decorations everywhere. Which led me to the question, isn’t it funny that there’s only one day a year that we celebrate the L word? When really every day we should be enjoying and celebrating it? The world would be a mighty fine place if we did!
