DIY: Valentines Day Jewellery Box

Jewellery Box DIY 1

Today I’m sharing a simple idea for Valentines Day. If you’re giving someone something small like jewellery this would be perfect! Supplies needed: patterned paper, scissors, a small box and modpodge.

Using some patterned paper I cut out small and large hearts then used modpodge to stick them randomly over the box. Leave to dry before finishing with some pretty bakers twine!

Valentines ginger cookies

Valentines Ginger Cookies 1

I loooove ginger bread and hadn’t made it since I was a kid. Usually I would make gingerbread men but since Valentines Day is just around the corner I thought little cookies would be cute. I used the recipe from here and added extra ginger. Using icing pens, I decorated the tops in the most lovey dovey way possible. A very simple treat to have on Valentines day! xo Bec

Currently: I carry your heart, I carry it in my heart

Im loving the fact that Valentines Day in on its way. Arlo and I explored the city the other day and it seemed to be bursting with cut-out hearts and bright red decorations everywhere. Which led me to the question, isn’t it funny that there’s only one day a year that we celebrate the L word? When really every day we should be enjoying and celebrating it? The world would be a mighty fine place if we did!
