I have had this little monarch butterfly wing sitting on my desk since I found it a few months ago. I couldn’t bare throwing it out so it has been sitting here waiting to be used on something creative. Art journal- you are the perfect way for me to showcase this precious little wing. What do you think?xobec

Woweee what a week it has been! I have been working hard on design and art projects and preparing for the Art Expo Nelson which you can read about in yesterday’s post here. So excited! I also met up with a group of gorgeous Nelson creatives. What a perfect night. We chatted about small business experiences and bounced arty ideas. So inspiring to be around such an amazing bunch. I hope you all have a super weekend planned!xobec

Shoot it, Sketch it: Peppers

Red PeppersRed Pepper drawing 2

Today’s Shoot it, Sketch it drawing is inspired by mums garden and the different coloured peppers she has been growing. She brought around 3 huge buckets last week and it inspired me to photograph and paint them. Look at all the beautiful shapes and colours in this photo! She’s a bit of a whizz in the garden and always produces the biggest vegetables I’ve ever seen. Clever chicky.xobec

After my trip to the library, I decided it was time to experiment with a new theme for the Clouds of Colour shop. So over the past week, I have been gathering inspiration to paint vegetables and fruit. I will be adding these new prints to the shop soon but for now, here are a few pics of my progress. Enjoy!xobec
