I’m back again for the Shoot it, Sketch it feature! Last week Alana from The Little Leaf and I did an art project inspired by the desert so I missed the feature.
Today I drew the doodle rocks that were featured in this DIY a few months ago. Ive kept them sitting on this doily ever since!
Art Project / Inspired by the desert: Silhouette Tree
Today is the last day of mine and Alana’s mini drawing project. It was hard getting these 3 pieces out on time, we both felt pressured and were chatting every day with new bits of inspiration, what we could draw and pinning ideas on Pinterest! I chose to doodle the silhouette of a tree against a huge orange sun in the desert. I like the simplicity of it with one big pop of colour.
Hey guys, this new 3 feather print is now available on the Shop! What subjects do you enjoy seeing me paint? I’m in need of some new ideas and am wondering which are your faves! Hope you’re all having a perfect weekend, xo Bec
Hello hello! Today I have chosen to use a photo of me holding a flower! I always loved this photo but didn’t have a use for it- perfect for Shoot it, Sketch it! Its been so cool seeing what you have all been choosing to draw for this feature.. I love what Anna and Alana have been coming up with. Check out their awesome blogs! If you want to join in, just leave a comment on this post and link back to Clouds of Colour… then we can check out your art too! xo Bec
I haven’t updated you all on the Giant doodle I began at the start of the year. Mainly because getting it back home to NZ from Sydney was a mission! And it has since been rolled up in the corner of our room. But last weekend I hung it up in our hallway and started working on it again. I am now adamant on completing it! For any of you that haven’t seen this before, when Arlo and I were living in Sydney, I thought it would be a really cool idea to do the biggest doodle drawing EVER! It is 3 meters wide and 2 meters in height. Ridiculous I know. So here are a few pics of it at this stage. I’ll keep working on it and updating you with my progress! If you have any ideas for animals or insects you would like to see incorporated, let me know! xo Bec
June has finished already! And it marked the 6th month of my lovely blog. I cant even describe how fulfilling it is to be part of the blogging world, I love my blog SO much! It so part of my life now… carrying a book around full of ideas, photographing everything I see and do, brainstorming creative ideas, just so I can show you all! This month I got sooo many prints ready for the Etsy Shop and celebrated my first sale- so exciting! I also started a new feature of New Zealand Photography here, here and here and my personal favourite photos snapped… Yellow daisy at sunrise.
Again a big thank you to all my loyal followers and new comers to Clouds of Colour! You guys are awwwesome! xo Bec
