The winter chill has set in so its time for my annual winter break from blogging. A time to focus solely on art, create new content and dream new goals. I’m looking forward to snuggling up & relaxing.

Ill see you all very soon!
Hello hello! Isn’t this year just whizzzzzing by? It dawned on me the other day that we are almost half way through 2014 – say whaaaat?
For me it’s time to refocus on this years goals and anything I’d like to work on to achieve them before the year is over. One of my main goals being to create a calendar for 2015 full of watercolour drawings!
On Wednesday night we went to Rhys Darby… He is doing a comedy tour called Mr Adventure – pretty sure I got a 6 pack from laughing so hard. Anyway if you’re not sure who Rhys is there is a video link below – you may recognise him from Flight of the Concords as Murray!
Article: A series of images of the traditional life in the Siberian Arctic. I love this insight and the emotion portrayed in the beautiful pictures. It’s so far from my life here. Truly stunning.

Quote: ‘A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old dimensions’. – Ahhhh yes. This is perfect.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend planned. A few home DIYs and some thrifting is in order for me. Plus a trip to the market for fresh flowers & coffee dates :)
I hope you’re all happy & well. Winter has defo started to arrive in Nelson. Fareeeeezing nights & beautiful sunny days.
This week I worked on a cute wee range of gift tags, available in a pack of 8 on the Clouds of Colour Shop.
Work has been sooo exciting this week as the container of American Vintage arrived into the store – you can read here and here for my adventure to LA where my boss & I raced around collecting beautiful furniture for the store here in Nelson.
Article: This series of absolutely incredible images blew my creative mind. THE COLOURS!! Make sure you read what each image is – so fascinating.
Video: ‘A wide-angle view of fragile earth’ – again more beautiful pics plus a great talk from Yann Arthus-Bertrand on humanity and our habitat.

I have also been working on 2 large A3 pieces for my next exhibition – a couple of snippets are above.
Have a perfect weekend, friends!
